Clark Funeral Home Posted April 25, 2017 Report Share Posted April 25, 2017 (edited) James Davis, age 78, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Sunday, April 23, 2017. He was born on June 4, 1938, in Birmingham, AL, to the late Stephen Albert & Emma Jean Davis, SR, and was preceded in death by his brothers, Albert Davis, Billy Davis and Ray Davis, and sister, Bobbie Miller. Mr. Davis was a United States Army Veteran, retired after 30 years from Lockheed-Martin, and was a member of The Way International. James was loved by everyone and loved the University of Alabama. Survivors include his wife of over 40 years, Diane Davis of Acworth, GA; son, Derik & Samantha Davis of Dallas, GA: daughters, Wendy & Steve Dockery of Dallas, GA, Stephanie & Andy Jones of Acworth, GA, and Tammy & Chris McCommon of Kennesaw, GA; sisters, Barbara & Norman Chartier of Middleburg, FL, and Grace & Jim Carter of Mobile, AL; grandchildren, Brandon, Tyler, Alexis, Olivia, Kiera, Anna, Hope, Abigail and Hartley; several nieces and nephews and a number of other relatives. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017, at 2 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend David Lippold officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park. Tyler McCommon, Chris McCommon, Andrew Johnson, Andy Jones, Colin Stanley and Glen Atler will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, from 5 PM until 8 PM.
