gpatt0n
It has happened sooner than expected, Roger Ailes, who was the founding president of Fox Cable News and put it in bed with the GOP, has officially resigned from the network with the companies owner, Rupert Murdoch, taking over as chairman and CEO of Fox News and Fox TV. It was expected that Ailes would continue his post until after the GOP convention ended but it was pretty much a foregone fact he was on his out in the wake of charges of sexual harassment Ailes and Murdoch have been allies since the founding some 20 years ago and Ailes will continue to consult for the network. Murdoch, by taking over, chose not to put his sons in charge of the network. Ailes had balked at the decision of Rupert to have Ailes report to his sons a year ago. Ailes maintains that he has not harassed anyone. These notes were taken from a discussion airing on MSNBC with the legal analyst Cynthia McFadden. pubby
