James N. Edwards, age 81, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2015. Mr. Edwards was born on December 2, 1933, to the late Samuel Edwards & Bertha Kerr Edwards. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Scott Edwards. James was a devoted husband of 58 years, loving father & grandfather, and a friend to all. He never met a stranger, and loved his canine companion, Toby. James enjoyed the outdoors & gardening. He was a member at Flint Hill United Methodist Church.

 

Survivors include wife, Joyce T. Edwards; daughter, Pamela E. Smith of Dallas, GA; sisters, Hester Edwards of Heflin, AL & Louise Owen of Pell City, AL; grandchildren, Zachery A. & Lindsay McCormick of Carrollton, GA, Brandie M. Edwards of Dallas, GA, Kellie M. Smith & fiancé, Scott A. Turner of Milner, GA; great grandchild, Taylor McCormick of Carrollton, GA.

 

A Celebration of Life for Mr. Edwards will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2015, at 11:00 AM, from the Clark Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Ray Vaughn & Reverend Bill Tidwell officiating. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, April 20, 2015, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
