surepip
OK, granted, I have "extra traps" [pay attention p,comers who ordered traps and did not pick them up, although you can get them from Ace Hardware at 7 Hills and New Hope now], it is still amazing how many bees we have caught. I have my 2 painted ones [that was a mistake....they are better as raw wood] on the front porch, each with 10-20. I have a raw wood one on the other end of the front porch with 25-30. And, I have a row of 6 hanging from the garage lattice trim, each with 3, 4, or 5. And that is for the past week only where its only been warm for 4-5 days. We do indeed notice far, far, far less bee activity that we have in the past when we only swatted them. I will take some pictures if anyone wants to see them. They are also catching wasps! Who spend most of their remaining hours alive stinging the snot out of the carpenter bees. Kind of neat to watch. You can get the traps from the 7 Hills or New Hope Ace Hardware, or if that is not convienent, pm me and we can make other arrangements. Christine0402
Thank you so much for posting this! I wanted to order some from someone (maybe you?) a month or two ago, but my DH said he would make one instead. Well, needless to say, it's still not made so I will be going out to get one from Ace this weekend!

Dude, either you have infestation of these bees or I don't have enough. I've caught some bees here at the house but none at the barn. I see them everywhere too. I have caught a bunch of wasps through so it's all good.
MrsB
Wouldn't they attract more? I'm just curious. We had two under the upstairs deck that MrB sprayed with something last night. Today they are dead on the patio. But they made some nasty holes.
surepip
We were absolutely covered up by the bees when it first warmed up last month. We have had 3 traps out continuously on the front porch, and at different times anywhere from 2-3 to 10-12 hanging in the garage. The front porch traps have caught well over 100, and the garage ones quite a few as well, as people came to pick them up. Now the past week where it has been warm - or shall I saw HOT, we are seeing very few bees.
