lowrider
Hey now! I saw the Beach Boys at the old Atlanta Municipal Auditorium in 1974ish. Hey now! My first concert was Paul Revere and the Raiders at the Atlanta Merchandise Mart.........1966/1967 don't remember. I saw ZZ Top/Issac Hayes/Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes/Curtis Mayfield/Humble Pie/Jethro Tull at the Atlanta Municipal Auditorium. I saw a bunch of folks at the Auditorium...do you remember the huge disco ball in the middle? I swear when I saw ZZ Top I felt like I was in space somewhere.........I could not believe the sound 3 people could put out!!! The auditorium was the place to be.......and the Great Southwest Music Hall.......only I forgot who I saw there. I can't begin to tell you all the folks I saw at the new Omni. And don't forget the FOX.....some of the best concerts were at the FOX. This was a crazy concert!! With Peter Frampton http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdXjm8pZMws
gpatt0n
iassjustplayinwithya. Awesome list btw. Heck, you could add some Gershwin into the mix ... and I actually like to listen to classical music as well ... but mainly to go to sleep ... and I like fiddling around and listening to bluegrass as well. The polka - which is what I associate with Welk - is about the only music that leaves me a bit cold. Hell, I like Stevie Wonder, Booker t and MGs, James Brown, Janis Joplin, Jimmi Hendrix and Otis Redding. (the R&B was from my high school days). Indeed, I had a jazz phase in the mid 70s when disco was big... (not terribly into to disco - indeed that and what followed was personally a disappointment.) and even better:

I would love to have a video of her about the time the big biker dude accidentally spilled his bucket of beer on her. I love Humble Pie. I don't need no doctor. I'll have to think of some more. Who's the white dude with the long gray hair (early gray) married to the black girl named Mary? We saw them at the FOX. I'll think of it in a little while, I'm having a senior moment and can't remember sh*t. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqLh3OcwvyI&feature=related
