Any leaf viewing areas close by

Recommended Posts

Tomorrow I wanted to take a friend who is handicapped and normally homebound to see some leaves - but she doesn't normally like to go too far.

Any ideas from you guys that have been out and about? Maybe we could get some lunch too. I seem to remember 278 west has some to view.

Try Hwy.278 west to Cedartown, then cut over to Rome on 411 and come back Hwy.101 to Rockmart. That is if your friend can handle that. There is some good color but it is not great.

Thanks, I was worried about trying to take handicap van on small mountain roads in North Georgia, so looking for alternatives.

If they can handle the ride and time go to Rome on 101,take 27 north toward Summerville and get the scenic highway toward Adairsville. You will come out on 41/53 in Adairsville. That is a pretty scenic country roads.
