Mrs. Jean Ellen Sosebee Lawhorn

Mrs. Jean Ellen Sosebee Lawhorn age 71 of Bremen, GA passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at The Specialty Hospital in Rome, GA.

 

 

 

Mrs. Jean Lawhorn was born on October 13, 1939 in Atlanta, GA; to loving parents the late Mr. Howard Sosebee and Mrs. Mary Alice Bryant Sosebee. She is also preceded in death by her beloved husband Mr. Donald Lawhorn who passed away on June 14, 2001; and her daughter in law Mrs. Tennga Lawhorn who passed away in 2009.

 

 

 

Mrs. Lawhorn worked as a seamstress for Sewell Manufacturing. She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed sewing and scrap booking. She also enjoyed flower gardening.

 

 

 

Mrs. Jean Lawhorn is survived by three daughters Mr. & Mrs. Wes and Deborah Dowda of Carrollton, GA, Mr. & Mrs. Rick and Theresa Cesere of Kalamazoo, MI and Mr. & Mrs. Chris and Chrystal Hackel of Bonifay, FL; two sons Mr. Donnie Lawhorn of Ellabell, GA, and Mr. Howard Lawhorn of Bremen GA; ten grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; four sisters Ethel of Stanford, TN, Ruth of Cleveland, GA, Virginia of Garmon, GA, and Catherine of Connor, GA; one brother Jimmy Sosebee of GA; several nieces and nephews as well as many other beloved family and friends.

 

 

 

Funeral Services for Mrs. Jean Lawhorn will be held in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Friday, July 15, 2011 at 2 pm with Reverend Wayne Morris officiating. Serving as pall bearers will be Justin Ivey, Chad Mozley, Josh Whisner, Daniel Christie, Chris Keever and Chad Jordan. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery.

 

 

 

The family of Mrs. Jean Lawhorn will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 14, 2011 from 4 – 9 pm and Friday, July 15, 2011 from 9 am until the time of service.
