Clark Funeral Home Posted May 23, 2011 Report Share Posted May 23, 2011 (edited) Mary Irene Owen, age 63, of Hiram, GA passed away on Monday, May 23, 2011. She was born on December 10, 1947 in Dallas, GA to the late John Calvin and Irene Rakestraw. She was retired from Regions Bank where she was an Assistant Regional Vice President. Mrs. Owen was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Robert Owen, Sr. Surviving are her son, Rob Owen of Hiram; a daughter, Tobie Knight of Hiram; a brother and sister-in-law, John & Mary Rakestraw of Marietta; a sister and brother-in-law, Jerrye Faye & Jerry Garmon of Douglasville; grandchildren, Mitchell Knight, Matthew Knight, Sawyer Owen and Jace Owen; nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 26, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. from Clark Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until the service time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 123, Dallas, Georgia 30132.
