Mrs. U.V. Barber Gray age 90 of Dallas Georgia passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at her home.

 

Mrs. U.V. Gray was born on January, 1, 1921 in Dallas, GA to the late Mr. Duane Barber and Mrs. Jeanette "Nettie" Kitchens Barber. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years Mr. Sharon Elward Gray who passed away on May 30, 1966; 1 son Mr. Sharon Duane Gray who passed away on March 25, 1998; 2 sisters Mrs. Pauline Mauldin and Geneva Williams both of Dallas, GA; 1 brother Mr. Nolis Barber of Dallas, GA; 1 step brother Reverend Grady Hix of Chatsworth, GA; 2 step sisters Mrs. Hattie Gray and Lillar Mae Buford both of Dallas, GA.

 

Mrs. U.V. Gray was a member of New Vision Full Gospel Church in Dallas, GA. She worked as a seamstress for Camp Cap Company. Mrs. Gray was a woman of great character, friendly spirit, and tremendous love for her family. She will be missed by all.

 

Mrs. U.V. Gray is survived by 1 daughter Mrs. Janette Callan of Dallas, GA; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 13 great-great grandchildren; 1 sister Mrs. Imogene White of Dallas, GA; 1 half-brother Mr. Lindon Hix of Dallas, GA.

 

Funeral Services for Mrs. U. V. Gray will be held at Pine Ridge Baptist Church on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 1 pm with Reverend Daryl Golden and Reverend C.L. Powers officiating. Music will be provided by Reverend Samuel Leggett and Guiding Light. Pall bearers will include Neil Golden, Christopher Wagoner, Travis Golden, Gary Morris, James Stover, and Todd Southerland. Honorary pall bearers include Adam Thompson. Interment will follow at Pine Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery. We will leave in procession from Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home at 12:30 pm.

 

Visitation Services for Mrs. U.V. Gray will be held on Friday, January 7, 2011 from 11 am – 9 pm and Saturday, January 8, 2011 from 9 am – until we leave in procession for the church at 12:30 pm.
