Auditions for our Spring Musical "The Marvelous Wonderettes" will be held on

Tuesday, January 18th at 5:00pm

 

Audition Info

 

Please prepare a one minute comedic monologue (should be a fun/campy piece) and an entire up-tempo song, preferably from the 1950's or 1960's (songs will be performed a capella for this audition). Casting four female roles, must be age 16 and up. Age range you can play: 18 to 40. We are looking primarily for strong singers who also act.

 

For all auditions, please be prepared to stay a couple of hours as you may be asked to read sides and read with other actors. Please bring a resume and headshot if you have them. If you do not have a headshot, you must bring a black and white photograph of you, taken from the neck up, size 4x6 or larger.

Show Info:

The Marvelous Wonderettes takes you back to the 1958 Springfield High School prom where four girls with dreams and hopes as big as their crinoline skirts and voices to match share the most loved hits from the 50's and 60's.

My daughter wants to know when the show will run and what the rehearsal schedule will be like. She is a college student majoring in musical theatre and would love to audition, but wants to make sure she she could manage the schedule so she doesn't waste your time if she can't. Thanks!

BumbleBee--I will PM you the rehearsal schedule today or tomorrow, we are still finalizing, but glad your daughter is interested! She is the one who loaned us Annelle's pregnant belly for "Steel Magnolias" and we appreciate it!
