Paulding website attacks family values

Recommended Posts

News Junky. You couldn't run me off with a broom and a bucket of sheeze.

It's been heated at times, but there has been some pretty good sparring. Too bad Paulette wouldn't engage.

I am still you friend aren't I?

Now where else would I go to find the dirt on folks in this county?

I've yet to see Will answer for himself. I also have not seen Will say he isn't sympathetic to liberal groups like the Global Fund for Education. Educating the world is a great concept. So is socia

Classy fellow <_ src="%7B___base_url___%7D/uploads/emoticons/default_wacko.png" alt="">

Nice "assumption" there.

I agree, as you are Madea. People with strong convictions and moral values are hard to find.

Thank you my friends! You know how much I respect each of you. I am just glad that this election has not caused me to lose some of my very best friends. I can say it has been one of the most heated I have ever seen and I hope the candidate that wins will be the best one for District 19. He/she will be my Representative and I will hold their feet to the fire.

Other than our choice for Governor, LT Gov and District 19, I'll bet you we voted the same.

Hey! Don't interrupt my  fest! rofl.gif

Wouldn't it be kinda fun to have a republican for one and a democrat for the other (governor and lt. governor). rofl.gif I'm voting tomorrow. I'll have to think about that.

I've yet to see Will answer for himself. I also have not seen Will say he isn't sympathetic to liberal groups like the Global Fund for Education. Educating the world is a great concept. So is socialism. It just doesn't work. You can't really do things like that until you have successfully educated your city, county, state, and country. We have a loooooong way to go. With teachers like Mrs. Avery who can't tell the difference between an attack on family values and a blogger's interpretation of things her supposedly "conservative" husband is sympathetic to, I don't want her teaching my children.

Will is just a little busy today. Educating the world is a great concept. Great concepts that are not realistic to implement right now are, in my opinion, still eligible for a facebook "like".

Your comment about me as a teacher is rude and ignorant. You don't know me, and I am a very devoted and hard working teacher. With people like Mr. Paulding Pundit, no wonder it is so hard to get good people to run for office. With people who make comments like yours, no wonder it is so hard to get good people to teach.

Pubby, I have been told that Daniel Stout did have that info and he chose the high road. I expect it would have improved his chances to win but he chose not to throw mud. Guess he had had enough thrown on him not to want to do it himself. I am just guessing as to his reasons. The Party had nothing to do with his decision.

The information that Daniel had, I believe, was the domestic violence incident (cut hair, etc.) I've talked with his campaign manager on the insurance fraud arrest and that was a new one on him ... and I understand ... Daniel as well.

I was thinking the exact same thing. I might have to vote for Porter after all.

Are you suggesting that we would have been better off as a county (or District as the case may be) to have never mentioned anything about Paulette committing Insurance Fraud or having been arrested for Domestic Violence?

sheeze hole or not, some things are important enough to be brought to the voters attention. When a candidate has MULTIPLE problems with abiding by the very laws that she trying to be elected to make.

Sorry if you don't see it my way, but in my opinion a person that can't abide by the laws has no damn business making the laws.

I do agree that politics is a cheezehole. It may be that some politicians are cheezeholes.

How ironic that I see a screen name SepticGuy lurking.

I'm not talking just about the District 19 race. You admitted in another discussion Barnes misrepresented the truth about Deal and rape victims. You justified it by saying one should do whatever it takes to beat the other guy. Someone supporting Avery; perhaps Avery himself created a website using Braddock's name in the url that included her mugshots. Was that really necessary? She was most likely humiliated enough when her arrests were made public. That alone caused her political damage; but was benefit was there to doing this other than to cause more humiliation other than to do whatever it takes to win?

She nor Avery gets my vote.

JBG, Will has been accessible, decent, hard-working and honest. Notably, those are things one cannot honestly say about his opponent. Your statement was at least uninformed if not dishonest.

You would very fortunate if Laurien taught your children. Don't parents who love their children want a first class education for them?

How dare you? You are almost as good at twisting words as she is. I'm sure he/she loves their children and it shouldn't be quantified by his teacher choices. There has been no attack on the Avery family values. The topic title was written to create drama.

Matter of opinion I guess. Some folks choose to home school because of the political agendas that seem to creep into the education system. California is a very good example. I don't believe in spending American tax dollars to educate kids in other countries when we are laying off teachers and when there is a shortage of materials in the classrooms here. I would not like it if a teacher voiced this kind of political philosophy in the classroom either. JMO

All of the qualities you say that Will has are wonderful. Do they change the liberal vote he might cast? I don't think so. If he is elected he will have a voting record to stand on and we shall see if he has been honest about being a conservative.

I agree Madea there was absolutely no attack on family values there or anywhere else. How in the world is Will going to go to Atlanta and face the things required of a representative if he gets his feelings hurt over a photo posted on a web site??

I just hope people realize what they are doing, here, there and everywhere. :o

Whether or not you agree with Will's politics I will say this, he has been an open book from day one.

He did not set up a special FB for you to see what you wanted to see.

He friended you on his personal page to let you see his life.

You see him with friends, family, school activities.

As a student he wore his hair longer as many students do.

He is not ashamed to say he earned a living slogging through muddy ditches as a surveyor.

He will talk to anyone, call him, email, ask a question on here.

I will say this every publication I have seen on the other site has tried to depict him as a joke, starting with a picture of Ronald Mcdonald with his name under it.

A pic of him holding his daughter when the wind had picked up his hair that looks comical.

Now the last one, an animated moment in the labor room with his wife.

Well some of his animated moments may be comical and amusing, there is nothing wrong with a well balanced person having a sense of humor and being able to laugh at themselves enough to make these pictures public to their friends and family.

I get a totally different feeling for a person when I look at a mug shot.

All the candid shots of Will enjoying his life being himself will never over shadow the pictures of his opponent being themselves in mug shots.

Disagree with his politics if you will, but the pictures are about character.

Someone missed the mark on those.

IMO the OP made a mountain out of a molehill and brought drama to Will. Just saying. I personally did not think much of it until she brought it here. I saw it, glanced over it and went on with life.

I imagine it was traumatic to her, A couples time in a labor room is intense and intimate, cherished memories.

To see that specific picture publicized in an effort to make her husband look like the village idiot is offensive I don't care who you are.

She was pointing out the the use of that picture was in bad taste and why.

There are many pictures on his face book easily copied and used, this one hit a tender spot with his wife.

I guess a mug shot is a sensitive moment but an important one to share with potential voters, not someones picture in the labor room with their wife

I mean come on she was nicer about explaining why she was offended than I would have been.

But, LPPT that picture was not on this web site. All they did was draw attention to it on the OTHER site. A mug shot is an embarrassment and it should be, but all is fair in politics.

Paulette has no business being a representative for District 19 either.

Now Now we know many folks watch the other site, I get notifications which a appreciate because I like to be informed all the way around when it comes to the county.

I think she may have been frustrated about not being allowed to give her opinion over there also.

After all she does love him, the need to defend a loved one is pretty strong.

I think it may have made her feel better to express herself over here where we allow that.

Pft...I am not that sensitive to a picture. Seriously. If I was it would not be out for people to see. Period.

I am not happy with either candidate, but I still say she brought drama here (I am looking at 3 pages) to Will and attention to another site, when she really should have just ignored it.

I have been told many times that if you post a picture on face book it is no longer a private picture. I guess there is a lesson to be learned here about privacy and how pictures that are not copy written can be used.

According to current reports, potential employers are using your Facebook page.

Teachers have been fired because of stuff they put on face book.

This would seem to fall under common sense to me, but if you're going to run for political office, you shouldn't have a Facebook or any other accessible personal information. :pardon:

Time for a new manager.

Now this is funny, I haven't seen Mr. Politics around much since he admitted he's not a Paulding resident.

Passive aggressive people voting my post (#134) down is hilarious! Wow, there are some really sensitive people in this thread.

I rarely look at that, to me it's pure High School.

Not me I am tired of butter wouldn't melt in you mouth politicians.

All polished, professing family values, under a ton of polished veneer so deep that when it cracks you can smell the rot a mile a way.

I want folks with real life experience, I want to know who you really are, how you act, how you look when you think nobody will ever see it or know it.

I don't expect perfection but I look for honesty, the bigger your facade the harder I run.

Yep they can even be photo shopped.

I will never run for office myself. My life is an open book, I try to live my life honestly, with integrity and do my beat to be fair.

I am more interested in the opinions of those that know me.

This is the best anyone can do.

There are always losers in games, thats why I don't play them.

If the above statement is even close to being true then I hope for her sake that her husband does not win. She will never make it in the political ring and she would be doomed to many many much more traumatic things. You have to have a thick skin to play in the field he is trying for. All this drama over a stupid picture???? Really???

I really don't give a damn about your sense of humor or your favorite food or movie, I care about how you're going to spend my money. And if you want to run for office, that's ALL that should be able to be found on the internet.

You can call it vaneered or whatever, but I don't think that an elected official should be representing anything but the people for their elected term. I don't want to so much as see them endorsing a Coke can while I'm paying their salary.

If you want to post on the internet, post about me and how you're going to make my life better. I don't care about yours.

Yep and these things don't have to include mug shots. I still say that the only reason that these silly pics were used is because they could find no dirt to dig up and they had nothing else.

I totally understand the OP's mindset, someone goes after something as innocent as a pic in the delivery room and it hits a nerve.

But, at least there were no pics with a number under it while he is turning right and left.

I'd much rather have a candid pic of a real person than a staged one of a guy whose hair could deflect a tennis ball.
