Sarah Catherine Benton age 75 of Douglasville, passed away March 14, 2010. She was born January 5, 1935 in Atlanta, Ga., preceded in death by her father Joseph Newton Turner and mother Sarah Elizabeth Zena Turner and husband of 38 years Clyde McMichen. She was a member of Floyd Road Baptist Church and retired from Sky View Elementary School Cafeteria of Cobb County with 13 years of service. She loved her children and grandchildren.

 

Survived by Husband of 19 years, Harold Benton, Douglasville, Ga., Sons Steve and his wife Melissa McMichen, Douglasville, Ga., David and his wife Ann McMichen, Yorkville, Ga., Tim and his wife Debbie McMichen, Bremen, Ga., Todd and and his wife Angie McMichen, Douglasville, Ga., Sisters Virginia and her husband J.W. Chambley, Austell, Ga., Audie Hodgins, Dallas, Ga., 8 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at 11am from Clark Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Burman Cape, Jr., officiating with Interment to follow in Georgia Memorial Park, the family will receive friends at Clark Funeral Home Monday, March 15, 2010 from 4-8pm.
