Atlanta Magician Turner performing for Cobb Humane Society fundraiser

Recommended Posts

There are still a few seats left for the Hearts and Dreams 2010 gala show at the Earl Strand Theatre this Saturday night. I just checked on 2 tickets to see what was there -- "Best Available" showed row T. So you can certainly enjoy the show, but it looks like there is going to be a sizable crowd for this show.

If you are looking for something to do Saturday night and have the means to make this kind of donation to the Cobb Humane Society, I assure you that the talent line-up is going to be outstanding. The Atlanta Lyric Theatre is now housed at the Strand and will be supplying performers for the evening. Ron Carter, organ virtuoso, will perform. Some of the talented kids from Pebblebrook will be performing, and I'm also on the bill to perform during the social hour and do a set during the stage show.

Here's the skinny, direct from the Cobb Humane Society - Gala Tickets Page:

Hearts and Dreams 2010

The Humane Society of Cobb County will have our second annual winter variety show, "Hearts and Dreams 2010", Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the Earl Smith Strand Theatre on the historic square in downtown Marietta. This year's theme will be "Life Is A Circus".

This gala event, black tie optional, will feature several local individuals and groups donating their time and talent to provide entertainment. Guests will enjoy open bar and heavy appetizers during the social hour which begins at 7 pm. The show starts at 8 pm.

All tickets are $100, and by mid-December will be available for convenient purchase on the HSCC website or a toll-free number. Buy your tickets early for the best seats!

Hope some of you can make it! I'll try to get some pics afterwards. Here is a link to the program (PDF Format, 1.2MB).

JMT~that is awesome! I so want to visit the Strand, have not been yet, but I hear it's beautiful. I'm always working when they're working, so never have gone to a show there, I'll make it out this spring/summer. Have a great show Saturday!
