Funeral Director Posted January 24, 2010 Report Share Posted January 24, 2010 (edited) Mrs. Jessie L. (Ray) Sachs age 93 of Villa, Rica Georgia passed away on January 23, 2010. She was born on August 12, 1916 the daughter of the late Lude Fuller and Myrtie Brown Fuller. Sister Jessie Sachs was a member of New Georgia Baptist Church and received a certificate of Honor for her faithfulness to Christ and dedication to serve the Lords Church at Homecoming on May 7, 2006. She loved going to church and attending Sunday School. She was employed as a farmer and worked for Peco Chair Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Jessie L. (Ray) Sachs loved the outdoors and fishing. Mrs. Jessie L. Sachs is survived by 6 daughters and sons in law, Ann & Boyce Emmons of Mableton, Ga.; Allene Hicks of Villa Rica, Ga.; Margaret & Grady O'Shields of South Carolina; Carolyn Ray of Villa Rica, Ga.; Bobbie Jean Levi of Villa Rica, Ga., Lynn & Ron McWatters of Villa Rica, Ga.; 3 sons and daughters in law, Deanie & Verrill Ray of Villa Rica, Ga.; Henry & Charlotte Ray of Villa Rica, Ga.; Ronnie Ray of Villa Rica, Ga.; 21 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren, and 16 great great grandchildren. Many other beloved family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Richard Sachs, husband of many years, W. D. Ray, 2 infant sons, daughter, Peggy Patricia Ray, father & mother, brothers and sisters. Funeral services for Mrs. Jessie L. (Ray) Sachs will be held on Monday January 25, 2010 at 2:30 PM at the New Georgia Baptist Church. She will lie instate from 1:30 PM until the service begins at 2:30 PM. Dr. James R. Burdette, Reverend Charles Williams, and Reverend Jerry Hollis will officiate. Grandsons including Darryl Ray, Howard Ray, Dwayne Pace, Chris Pace, David Triplett, Ronnie Ray and Thomas Ray will serve as pallbearers. Music will be provided by Madge Robinson and Eva Fuller. Interment will follow at the New Georgia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 4pm until 9pm and on Monday from 9 am until leaving for the church at approximately 1:15 pm.
