+childhiram
We are talking with parents more and more that have questions about certain things about childcare, potty training, teething, etc. Just things that we deal with from day to day. I would like to share some tips that may help some of you. The number one thing is POTTY TRAINING!! We have a great program here that we have found that works. First, you need to know that every child is different. And different things work for different children. But one comon thing we have found is being conistant in whatever method you choose. Here we prefer that the parents have them in underwear not pull-ups. It seems that we can get them potty trained so much faster when they can feel they are wet. They like the fact of wearing big boy or big girl underwear. Taking them every hour without fail and staying very positive.
PauldingMom
Thanks for the tip, but I wonder how you handle this at night when a child can not hold it through the night and must wear either Pull-Ups or a Diaper. How do you transfer from being a Big Girl/Boy by day and a Baby by night? I've seen so many parents struggle with this.
+childhiram
U are very welcome. I am going to start posting some tips that we do here and some things that parents have shared with me. Most parents do have to use the pull-ups still at night time. It is very hard not to. I know when you get to that point that you see they are getting up dry in the morning and want to try underwear at night, make sure that you put the mattress cover on the bed. Have a good day. How do you transfer from being a Big Girl/Boy by day and a Baby by night? I've seen so many parents struggle with this. I know that through my own experience I did this...at night I would use the pull ups and reinforce to my little one that we will eventually do big boy/big girl at night, but for now we do this. Then I would set my alarm for about 1:00 am, get my baby up to potty...usually it took a few minutes, but eventually it happened, but if it didn't, that was OK. This ended up being the 'schedule' so-to-speak. As Children's Palace said, I made sure I had a mattress cover. The most important thing is to make sure you don't make them feel bad if they potty in the bed. Just tell them accidents happen and we'll get it the next time.

Also dont let them drink anything past 7:00 at night. Or even earlier if they go to bed early. That always helped my little one .

I had to wake my son up every hour at night and about a week later he was getting up when he needed to go potty. It worked for us maybe you can try that.
