+auntneet Posted July 17, 2009 Report Share Posted July 17, 2009 Had fun today with Paulding Cty businesses... ate a great lunch at Corner Cafe - new business, reminded me of a place I used to eat growing up. Then bounced over to Brooke's Salvage and bought some sheets for $20 (and some dark chocolate $1 - Dove's) - great deals... Then stopped by Judy B's to introduce myself and thank them for sending some business to us - adorable store... then back to meet Zoo and check out her newest crochet items for our spa section - gorgeous, pix later... and I waved at Caped Crusader's flamingos on the way back. I love spending locally also as I realize that in the long run, it benefits all citizens of Paulding County. Along with the financial aspects of spending my money locally, I also want to see each and every business grow and thrive in our community. They needed semi-custom orthotics (sp?) and I told them you had the best around! My Dad LOVES his diabetic socks and now that I have a little extra money, I'll be in next week to pick up another pair for him. He will be so thrilled! Bruce and I try our best to spend our money in Paulding County, Dallas and Hiram specifically. We always get our jars from Big Lots not only to help local businesses, but they also have the best price when we consider ordering and paying shipping. We frequent local restaurants and use Commerce Members of P.com if at all possible. Having just started our business in January, we know better than anyone how hard it is in this economy to build a business that can sustain it. We have found that Customer Service is EVERYTHING! It isn't just good prices for good products, as people can price shop and find the same things within a couple of dollars of each other, but they will purchased from the same store over and over for good customer service...you know that better than anyone because you provide EXCELLENT customer service. It's the little things that make a difference...eating a few dollars to make a customer happy is a small price to pay to keep their business and in the end, it comes back 10 fold. It helps keep our taxes down, it means so much to our county to wait a mile or 2 to get gas or pick up something at the store. Paulding offers o much that many think they can only get at malls. Your store as an example offers everything that you need for medical dissabilities. Not to mention Pak-n-pink for women, bra fittings and maternity. We have great little boutiques like Judy B's. The owners are the nicest ladies ever! They offer designer clothes, shoes, jewelty, and purses at the best prices, I love to go in and browse! They even carry candles, and kids accessories! /such as back packs and lunch bags! They are in the process of expanding because there is so much demand for beautiful things they carry!
