Artist from ages 6 to 86 are Blooming everywhere in the Historic Powder Springs " Downtown Art Walk" Sunday April 19 from 2-6:00. Downtown merchants on Marietta St. will be featuring some of the top talent around in their stores. The Book Worm will be hosting the works of several artists in the store. Come out and meet Rhonda Walton, whose paintings and sculptures are loved by so many. Her Folk Art is top notch and will have you coming back for more! Also meet Suzanne Kennedy Huff, another local artist who has sold many pieces at the store. She has unbelievable talent and has so many different types of styles to please the eyes. Check out her website atwww.suzanne.nobullart.com for more samples of her artwork. Elementary School Artists & Local Artists in town Who knows what you will discover! Young artist from Frey Elementary from Acworth,will display their blossoms upstairs in the "Bloomin Artist" Exhibition at the Red Cockerill Gallery at Powder Springs Florist. On the main level artists William Entrekin, Gary Curtis, The Cockerills and 17 more professional artist (6 of which are from Douglas County) will have for sale paintings in watercolors, pastels, and oils, pottery, jewelry, stained glass and photography. Santa's carved by Ron Ransom will be on display at Seven Springs Country Store. Folk artist Brenda Crider will be demonstrating as well and Brenda Birdsong's folk impressionism will be displayed there as well. Stop in to have a cup of tea and meet the nationally acclaimed artist and author Sandy Clough at "Seven Springs Tea Room". Incredibly detailed paintings and inspirational books make this a must see exhibition. A new tradition starting? Where should I start? At "Hand Me-Ups", one of the premier high end caricaturist of the world, Jeremy Townsend will be creating his award winning caricatures.He has won 10 awards from the International Society of Caricature Artists.He has drawn caricatures across the United States and Europe. His clients include Ga. Tech, Ga. Aquarium, UGA, Honda, Delta, and many more corporations. The Seven Springs Historical Society of Powder Springs will have a clothesline quilt exhibiton at the museum (weather permitting) . Quilters: Mrs. Estie Norris and Mrs. Imogene Abernathy will be quilting a quilt at the museum.
