Ugadawgs98
People normally think the most dangerous time to drive is while its raining. Its not. The most dangerous time is when the rain stops. People increase their speeds as the visibility gets better but the wet roadway still has the same effect on traction.
Garnet1679
Please watch out for the deputies working the accidents...there have been several close calls of traffic almost hitting them while they are trying to direct traffic or work the scenes.

Nitro
People normally think the most dangerous time to drive is while its raining. Its not. The most dangerous time is when the rain stops. People increase their speeds as the visibility gets better but the wet roadway still has the same effect on traction. Just to add... Definitely the most dangerous time to drive is afterwards. The roadways are more slippery after the rain. The asphalt absorbs all the oils and gunk that cars/trucks/etc.. spill on them. When it rains, all those oils rise to the top of the asphalt as the rain penetrates (oil is lighter than water). While it's raining, the rain helps keep that oil from pooling up on the roadway, as it washes it off as the rain hits. After the rain stops, all that oil and junk rises to the top of the road surface and there's nothing to wash it off...
solosoul
there was a new one I think around the skating rink on 278 a little while ago. Heard them call for Clark to send another unit and then ask for a bird. They are going to try and have an LZ at Kroger but need to clear an area. Sounds like they did not wait for the bird...just heard the call they are on the way to Grady with one fireman ( I think) on board to help
