  1. I started using Trifexis this month on my Lab and Aussie. Prior to that I was using Confortis and Interceptor. The two are combined in Trifexis. Collies are not the only dogs that have a genetic sensitivity to Ivermectin. Many herding breeds including Australian shepherds, Old English, Shelties, and English shepherds. There is a genetic test that the owner can have done that will let them know if their dog has a genetic sensitivity. What ever you choose, it is critical to follow instructions and dosage. Both Trifexis and Confortis recommend giving with a meal due to stomach upset. They are ver
  2. I haven't been able to get on this morning. I knew if I logged on to P.com someone could confirm that it wasn't just me or my browser having problems. Happy Birthday, sugail.
  3. The biggest drawback about Confortis to me is the expense. Almost $100 for a six month supply is steep, but worth it. I tried switching out topical ointments, but that was only temporary. It's the fleas that build an immunity, not the dog. I also use Sentinnel heartworm meds because it also has a flea fertility inhibitor. It's all very expensive, but worth it to me. With 3 dogs and 2 cats, a flea infestation is not an easy matter to deal with.
  4. Thanks CO. I'm so besotted with my grandbaby even the dogs feel jealous. I hope to spend more time online as he gets settled in. I need to do housework while he's asleep instead of plugging into my computer. I'm going to pick up stuff at dog class tonight. I'll see if I need to post a new thread. It is so late to ask for donations, I feel badly to be asking now. We will make do. $$Tree and Target will be more than happy for us to make a last minute shopping trip if need be. Amen! School comes first. Perhaps she can go one afternoon during Christmas break. It doesn't have to be Th
  5. We would love to have Lil Race Girl come and perform again this year. Taylor's Pals, you are welcome also. These folks love visitors. If the kids would like to sing a song or two, that would be appreciated to. There will also be another group of kids joining us. Here are the specifics about the gift bags for the nursing home. We will be passing them out on Thurs. Dec. 17 at 6:30PM. We will not be passing out drinks or cookies to eliminate the problem of giving something out to someone whose not supposed to have it. So we will just be passing out gift bags. There are 181 beds and we make a
  6. Thanks LL for the call. I've not been on line much since the arrival of my sweet, baby grandson. Riograce, I sent you a reply. Thank you for the offer. If anyone is interested, yes, we are making gift bags for the Dallas WellStar nursing home this year. You can pm me if you are interested in helping. I'll check P.com a little more frequently. I thought we got email notices if we had a pm. Perhaps my settings changed when the format changed.
  7. Hubby sent me this video. Hilarious! (Hope I did this right) Sorry if it has already been posted
  8. If you mean you lost your Farm Town neighbors, there was an upgrade yesterday afternoon. The developers were going server by server to upgrade. You may have lost neighbors whose farms are on other servers. All my neighbor boxes were blank when I logged on last night. I refreshed, and they showed back up. If you hire someone to harvest and it looks like there are no crops going into storage, refresh and they will show up. If you haven't registered and linked your farm on the Slashkey forum at the top of the screen above your farm's name, I highly recommend doing that. There is a ton of informat
  9. Those are great. I wish I had a little one to buy one for. Alas my little one is 28.
  10. You go Grep! I watched a demo by the Douglas County k-9 unit a couple of weeks ago. Even in a bite suit, it didn't look like fun. Must have made an impression on this perp since he didn't think to pack his bite suit before breaking the law.
