I just heard over the scanner, that the Eckerd's in Hiram is requesting an officer. The nature of the call is some pictures being developed in the one hour photo. Customer is supposed to pick them up in 40 minutes, and they want an officer there. I did not hear what the nature of the pictures are, but I can guess.

Anyone on here want to fess up now? :p

Of course I am kidding. Depending on what those pictures are, this may not be a laughing matter at all.

My guess is mrsjones somewhere, somehow has something to do with this.... That freck and her pictures, its finally catching up with her now.... Or possibly, she is taking photos to develop a catalog on her toot jars....

that's not even funny to joke about....

and she doesn't take the pictures. she's just got a knack for finding 'em online

Do you think they were using fudge in there somewhere? :p

Keep us posted, dg. I hope it's nothing horrible.

I will try, but I leave work in 20 minutes, so don't know how much more I will hear. Plus, if the people don't come to pick them up anytime soon, the officer may be staking the place out for a loong time.

I do want to give one other scenario here also. This could be something as innocent as taking pictures of your own child who is taking a bath, or has stripped naked themselves and gotten into something funny, and the mother grabbed a camera and took a picture because it was so funny. I think the law is, if there is film brought into a store to be developed, and it contains nudity of a minor, the store clerk is required to report it. I could be wrong, but I think I remember hearing something about that a couple of years ago.

I know I have a few pictures of my kids naked when they were a year or less old because of something funny they were doing. I have one of my daughter and her cousin in the bath tub as a toddler, because they had stuck the bath letters all over each other. It is some of my favorite pictures.

In other words, I guess we should not jump to conclusions.

You might be right about that dallasgirl. I had a pic of my two year old I was gonna post on here the other day when Auntsug was talking about her "me do it" 2 year old putting her panties on by herself and getting both legs through one hole. I have one of my daughter where she's got on panties and two different socks and a headband, but I thought better of it for that reason.

I agree, I don't think some child porn freak would take anything to Eckerd, I think some pissy people just decided to be pissy today... I know someone who once took in a roll of film to be developed and it had a nude pic of them on it, the clerk just put it in the envelope and didn't say anything.... She was horrified when she was flipping through them. It turned out her young kid was playing the "say cheese game" when she thought the camera was empty and bam, she's a star!

Your right, it could be child porn :(

Having worked at a photo lab the only time we called the cops was child porn, excessive drugs (we had a guy devolp a roll of pics with enough coke in them to make Scareface jealous) or excessive guns (not like hunting photos but a surplus type situation)

You would be surprised what people forget is on their film and drop off, they aren't going to call about baby pics in the bath tub they see thousands of those a week, plus the store gets charged for the call to the cops if it turns out to be a prank or someone getting pissy

Wow, I can't believe the store gets charged to investigate something like that... Isn't that what they are supposed to do?!?!!?

I'm gonna guess kid porn. Hope not, but can't see why they'd call for an officer.

Hijack...

Anyone develop pictures??.. and... What was some of the crazy stuff you saw?

I use to work at Eckerds in the photo lab. When I got hired on they told me that if I felt like it was unappropriate that I needed to call the cops.

You can only imagine what kind of pictures. :D

If the cops were called then the pictures were most likely thought to be something more than your average lil kid being funny or in the tub mommy snaps a pic kinda stuff ya know? I've had many pics developed that I've taken of my boys in the tub or doing something silly. It was probably pretty bad if someone requested the cops.

I used to print pictures in one of those labs in high school. Nekked pictures are common and the law wouldn't be called on the pervs. These pictures must be really bad...

I was printing a roll one time for a rush order (you see them as negative images and correct for color and contrast, you don't see the real image) and I could not figure out what they were. When they started coming out of the machine I figured out they were pictures from an autopsy. To make it worse, it was my friend's dad that had died from a "weapon cleaning incident". The police picked it up later and apologized for not labeling the outside of the roll...

I think the county police department would be picking up the bill for my therapy sessions.. that's terrible.
