Gates

Mr. Glen Richard Gates, age 61, of Dallas, passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2004. He was born on May 28, 1943 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Cecil and Iola Gates. He was retired from Lockheed and was a member of the Hiram Church of Christ. Mr. Gates was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War.

Surviving are his wife of 33 years, Barbara Ann Gates; daughters and son-in-law, Felicia Dice of Dallas and Jessica and Aaron Hanson of Dallas; a son, Mark Wright of Lomita, CA; a sister and brother-in-law, Maryln and Don Johnson of East Point, FL; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. from Clark Funeral Home in Hiram with Reverend Matt Johnson and Reverend Bill Hardin officiating. The interment will follow in Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram in charge of arrangements.

Richard was a good friend of ours. He will be missed very much.
