There was some talk of angels on p.com this week so I thought we could whip up some biscuits for all of them. These are so light and fluffy they float away unless loaded with your favorite jam or jelly.

Angel Biscuits

5 cups self rising flour
1/3 cup sugar
1 tsp. baking soda
2 packages yeast, dissolved in cup warm water
1 cup Crisco
2 cups buttermilk

Make as you would regular biscuits and bake at 425 degrees. Dough can be kept in refrigerator for several days. These biscuits are soft even when warmed over.
I know you believe you understand what you think I said, but I am not sure if you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.

Love these
My mom has been making them for as long as I can remember and I am not a youngster either.

Put a little country ham in them, even better.
