OK, here is the information on Poppy aka Horace Pace. I have had PM's so I will post his obit here. Thank you all for the prayers. Gretchen

 

 

HORACE GENE PACE, SR

 

Mr. Horace Gene Pace, Sr., age 71, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2005. He was born on August 30, 1933 to the late Monroe Pace and Florence Teal Pace.

Surviving are his wife, of 53 years, Betty Joanna Wood Pace of Dallas, GA; two sons, Mr. & Mrs. Gene (Sherry) Pace of Dallas, Mr. & Mrs. Sean (Gretchen) Pace of Dallas; two Daughters, Mr & Mrs. Tony (Tonia) Lambert of Dallas; Mr. & Mrs. Ed (Valerie) Bagwell of Hiram; 12 Grandchildren; 15 Great-Grandchildren; sisters; Mrs. Dottie Davis of Dallas and Mrs. Frances McAfee of Dallas.

Family will receive friends at Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home on Saturday 12 noon til 9 pm and Sunday 9 am until 2 pm. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 7, 2005 at 2 pm in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Reverend George Barnett & Reverend Ken Pace officiating. Music by Jeff Eberhart. Pall Bearers: Shayne Lambert, Tony Lambert, Frankie Willingham, Michael Pace, Jarrett Ferguson, Josh Harkins and Clint Bagwell. Interment at Gann Cemetery.

So sorry to hear of his passing busymom, please give my condolences to Tona and her family. :(

He's not suffering anymore, God rest his soul :(

I have know this family for many, many years and Horace was a very nice person and will be missed by many. He was known by alot of people in this county as many of you already know. I am very sorry for your loss and Miss Betty will be in our prayers.

I would like to say "THANK YOU!" on behalf of our family! Thank you everyone for all your thoughts and prayers.

 

Thank you goes out to Lacey and Family, Erin and Family and Brandi & Arcaidy for the beautiful Roses. I can't tell you how much it meant to the family and I.

 

Poppy is now resting in peace out of pain watching over us all. Thanks again on behalf of the whole family of Horace Pace.

Good morning, busymom!

It was good to meet you Saturday. I am sorry we didnt have a chance to chat much-maybe we will get to at the next family reunion!

Hope yall are doing okay-I am sure everyone is exhausted.
