There was a hatching of two eggs for the Berry eagles ...but sadly one B13 has passed away..was so hoping for a good season for them this year ..after the little one falling out of the nest last season...hopefully the remaining eaglet will thrive.

Been trying to check in as possible.

Sad about B13 but nature has a way ..... hoping for the best for B12 & Mom & Dad.

Will continue to watch as B12 grows ... always wonderful to see eaglets thrive and fledge.

Mother Nature can be a Bioch some times.  :(

But it's the nature of the wild.

We had a nice little nest on our front porch one year, had 4 eggs in it one day, then I saw a crow watching it and suddenly there were no eggs.

Nature does not promise a "right" to a "fair" outcome nor a happy one.

We are heartbroken :cray:  but as you said it's natures way.  Hopefully our Berry Eagle parents will be back
