Just had a 30 to 35 foot oak cut down. Probably enough wood to make a F-150's tailgate drag for two loads. Maybe one and a half. Anyway, this firewood is currently in tree form, Free is in quotes in the title because if you want it, you need to bring a saw. I'll break out mine and help you cut it and load it. The weather is supposed to be nice tomorrow and Saturday, then rain for a week, that's just a hint. Come get as much or as little of the wood as you want. PM for details.

The woods free right up to the point I have to cut and stack it all myself. It will no longer be free at that point, but will be available for an, ahem, "small nominal fee" next winter as seasoned firewood.

I ain't doin' nothin' right this second so....a quick story.

When I came to look at the house, I got here before the realtor, so I'm standing on the front porch waiting. One of the things I like(d) about the house is that unless you're looking purposefully as you go down the road, you can't really see it from the road. We even had a yard sale once that most of the people who came to it said they didn't even now there was a house here. That's less so now as I've worked on the place, but at the time it was really tunnel vision down the driveway and across the road because of the thick woods. So I'm standing there looking at the front and down the driveway at what looked to me to be a field greening up to make hay. I'm thinkin' this is just great with a hay field across the road it'll feel like the country setting back in all these thick woods.

'bout that time a guy rides into the field on a golf cart. I'm still thinkin' hay and wondering what kinda namby pamby farmer comes out in the field to do ANYTHING in a golf cart? Then he pulled out a 9 iron and made a stroke as I chalked another one up in the dumbass column.
