TRUMP 2020

I sincerely hope he does run in 2020, I  can think of no man in America that could better represent the honesty, integrity the humanity and moral character of today's Republican party and it's conservative members than Donald J Trump.

Yes sir if ever there was a match made in Heaven, it is Donald Trump and the GOP.

I am amazed that anyone would defend, much less want to elect, such a dishonest, egomaniacal person as Donald Trump to a second term, especially for such a juvenile reason as 'to watch someone squirm'.

The problem we have now is people voting for an individual based on personal feelings, name recognition, personal ideology, party association, etc. rather than the candidate who demonstrates the ability to provide capable, ethical leadership and whose background and finances are not incompatible with transparency and full disclosure of any potential conflicts of interest or questionable business ties/associations.

Electing a corrupt shyster who wouldn't know the truth if it poked him in the eye just to piss off people who don't want said shyster in the top office in the country is not what I would call patriotism.

So let's recap :

The government has shut down
Wall Street is in free fall.
Trump's cabinet has either quit, been fired under investigation or on their way to prison.
Our industries are caught up in trade wars.
Our allies no longer trust us.
North Korea is still making nuclear bombs.

All this in only 2 years of a Trump presidency, if this is winning god help us if we start loosing.

So that's the answer "all presidents lie" ? That's not an answer it's an excuse, it's a cop out,and it's one of the lamest diversions in the world. The notion that the leader of the United States with all the power over our lives and the world with all that entails "just makes stuff up" can be dismissed like it is nothing is down right disturbing.

According to Trump Mexico is going to pay for a wall, the Russians did not meddle in our elections, the Saudi prince didn't murder a innocent civilian, Canada is a threat to national security and North Korea is no longer a nuclear threat.

Hell just 3 days ago Trump stood before a group of military soldiers serving in Iraq looked them in the eye and told them they are all getting a 10% raise next year. Even his own State department said that's untrue. That can only mean three things 1. He just lies for the hell of it. 2. He cannot distinguish between reality and his imagination or 3. He is suffering from dementia.

All of which should frighten the hell out of anyone that has a rational mind.

Maybe the most disturbing fact of all he does this almost eight times a day and if you can't understand why you hear so many negative reports on Trump, what you call "bashing" well there's you answer.

Counted 84 lies Obama told..

84  "lies", if that's what you want to call them, over a period of 8 years in office.

As of 649 days in office Mr. Trump had reached 6,420 outright lies or misleading statements.

During the midterms he was lying to the American people an average of 30 times a day.

On oct 22 while at a Huston rally he told his supporters 83 falsehoods in one day, a record even for Trump.

Finally got answers to my questions. Just believe what you see. I was so disillusioned that all these places are right. But then again the Internet is always right ???

Im sorry I havent made any clear responses but with the NYE and new Years day combined with 4 family members visiting, its been a little nuts o crazy around here. Let me make myself a bit clearer. I never believe everything I read and only about half of what I see. That goes for stuff posted on both sides of the political landscape. I always go back behind and look into what the truth is. Am I right all the time? Nope, I make mistakes just like others do. Having said this, what is difficult to definitely assertain is the spin that many of these news web sites post. I dont pay much attention to opinion or contributor articles nor do I pay much attention to information posted by extreme websites. Their credibility is pretty much in the garbage can for me.

Now, do I think trump has some good ideas? Yes. Do I think that he is in way over his head as President? Yes. I dont think he respects the office of the presidency nor do I believe he has the capability to even want to gain that respect. In other words, he respects nothing. Thats all fine and good when you are talking about his running of his companys but not so good when it comes to true leadership skills needed to run this country.

Lets take this wall for instance. I know of no one that believes in a open border without regard to certain regulations to be met. I question all the free stuff that some think we are supposedly just giving away. I dont think ALL of our immigration problems come just from our southern border. I have seen first hand what a British girlfriend of mine has been through in order to stay here. I would like to see follow up on visas granted that have fallen through the cracks. I think the wall is a silly concept that wont work and the only reason hes so gun ho on it is because he would like nothing better than to have a trump monument that he can lay claim to.

This is getting too long so Ill bow out now. Happy New Year to you and yours. :)

ETA. I will probably be beat up black and blue because of this post but it is truly how I feel and is really just a small response to a huge issue. Theres many many other issues that I could address but havent even touched on.

"There comes a time in your life, when you walk away from all the drama and people who create it. You surround yourself with people who make you laugh. Forget the bad, and focus on the good. Love the people who treat you right, pray for the ones who don't. Life is too short to be anything but happy. Falling down is a part of life, getting back up is living."

If your friend has a Visa issued, they have at least attempted to do things legally.   I have a friend in the same condition, he's heading to England in a few weeks and isn't sure if he'll be allowed back.    Agreed that the process for legal visas, etc is more difficult than it should be.  The concern is for those that are crossing with no intent to be legal.

Agreed that Trump screws up sometimes.   He's much too impulsive esp with the stupid Tweeter account.   I like his ideas, I just don't like him as President. However, the GOP as a party is about useless, so it was going to take an outsider like Trump to get anything done. I'm just not holding my breath that the GOP will produce a politician that will actually address the issues that the Constitutional conservatives want addressed.

Oh yea, Happy New Year!!

I  will have to disagree with you on Trump and the wall. Why did other Presidents say "We need a wall?' and if they put a huge wall there, no wouldn't stop everyone but might help.If walls are useless then why does Obama, Clintons, everyone that has money, build them around their houses. Some people cant afford them, so the wall at the border will surely help. But you are right about one thing, Trump would have done what he said he would do and some people don't want him to get ahead. I don't think this would be a monument to Trump, this is the  people that want the wall. If you go look at the "Gofundme"  there is a lot of people that give there. so it is not just Trump wanting to build the wall. Happy New year to you also.

I think Trump respects the office as President. People don't watch him, they only go by what they hear.  I am glued to the set when he is on, He is polite and caring about people. No he isn't the soft voice, push me around type, but how many presidents have we had like that and didn't get anything done? we needed someone to stand up for our country. But what I really wanted to say, I am a 75 yr old woman and I bet if go in a store with a MAGA hat on, ?? Just what do you think would happen to me?  People don't have respect especially the dems. If they have what you call respect?? then Trump still has a long way to go.
