Helen Corley (Shearin) Tulin, age 80, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Monday, October 8, 2018. She was born on August 26, 1938, in Dallas, GA, to the late E.F & Selma Corley, and was preceded in death by her first husband, L. D. (Sparky) Shearin and second husband, George Tulin, sister, Rachel Scuiletti, and brother, Thomas Corley. Mrs. Tulin had been a successful business owner, a world traveler, an avid reader who enjoyed history and philosophy, and a loving grandmother to her two granddaughters, Laura and Emily. Helen grew up as a member of Narroway Baptist Church.



In 1963, while starting a family and new careers, Helen and Sparky Shearin founded Accurate Engravers to fill a need in the expanding airline industry in Miami. When Helen retired, it was the oldest and most respected industrial engraving company in South Florida. The innovation in design and production was instrumental in the lasting relationships with Pan American Airlines, Eastern Airlines, Bertram Yachts, Motorola and Coulter Electronics.



Helen found a travel partner in her second husband, George Tulin. They enjoyed many wonderful international trips together.



Survivors include her son, Jerry (Kathy) Shearin of Dallas, GA; daughter, Melody Shearin Engle of Tarpon Springs, FL; brothers, Paul Corley of Dallas, GA, Pledger (Mattie) Corley of Dallas, GA, and Jimmy (Sonja) Corley of Dallas, GA; sisters, Ann Corley (Joe) Tibbitts of Dallas, GA, Jo Ellen Carruth of Dallas, GA, and Artie Sue Kemp of Elberta, AL; sister-in-law, Becky Corley of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Laura Shearin (Alex) Hodge and Emily Buell; numerous nieces and nephews.



Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018, at 2 PM, from Narroway Baptist Church, with Reverend Todd Tibbitts officiating. Interment will follow in Narroway Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, October 12, 2018, from 6 PM until 8 PM.
