Veronica Sue Hitchcock, age 46, of Powder Springs, GA, passed away on June 17, 2018. She was born on April 2, 1972, in Lithia Springs, GA, and was preceded in death by her father, Marion Thomas Worthington, and granddaughter, Zoey McElwaney. Mrs. Hitchcock was an avid Steelers fan.

Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Jeffery Hitchcock, of Powder Springs, GA; children, Kasey & Ginger Hitchcock of Calhoun, GA, Tony Moody of Powder Springs, GA, Ashley Hitchcock & Andrew Giddeons of Dallas, GA, Heather & Charles Griffin of Powder Springs, GA, and Kelly & Mason McElwaney of Lithia Springs, GA; mother, Vera Worthington of Hiram, GA; brothers, Marion Albert Worthington of Carrollton, GA, and Stephen Randall Worthington of Hiram, GA; grandchildren, Daimon Hitchcock, Kaydence Hitchcock, Tristen Benz, Cory Lyda, Zaiden McElwaney, Raelynn McElwaney, Maddilynn Hitchcock, Alayna Giddeons, Micah McElwaney, Bentley Griffin, Mason Hitchcock, Mallery Hitchcock and Makaleigh Dunagan

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018, at 3 PM, from Clark Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sweetwater Memorial Park. Justin Worthington Mason McElwaney, Andrew Giddeons, Stephen Worthington, JoJo Griffin, Donnie Gaylor and Kasey Hitchcock will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 21, 2018, from 2 PM until the time of service.
