This morning, the area of Rosemont Court in the Greystone Subdivision suffered from multiple house fires. Our investigators as well as Paulding County Fire/Rescue & State Fire investigators are still on scene investigating what occurred. At this time there are multiple houses damaged from the fires. There were no injuries or fatalities.

We have opened our Community Center located at 217 Main Street directly behind the Police Department for anyone affected by the house fires. Paulding County Emergency Management AgencyAmerican Red Cross and our department Chaplain will be at the Community Center to assist anyone affected by this incident.

All media request should be directed to the Paulding Fire Rescue Public Information Officer.

I live on the other end of Rosemont Court in that subdivision. The families got out but 2 dogs were killed in one of the homes. It is just awful. My prayers go out to all of the families. :(

Yes.   A domestic situation.  The ex-wife is in custody.

I guess you haven't been to Detroit recently?  Or, Newark or East St.Louis or Gary, IN, or Stockton, CA?

You know, those bastions of liberal Democrat government that have been so successful in attracting wealthy, educated leaders and businesspeople.  Progressive people,  who have uplifted the poorer of their brethren, so their city can be that bright example of how well Socialism works.

The news reports and reporters leave out some (actually a lot) of the main facts and information. It just gets besides The General quite a bit. He’s always fussing at them, “Why can’t you tell the whooooole story? Not just some of the story!” I keep tellin* him that he should go back to journalism school and then he can do their job!

I found out this morning that this same woman...who took her own cat, her father's urn and some important papers with her before she left the burning house....had dumped her ex-husband's fully declawed, defenseless cat outside in the summer of 2016. She hated the cat because it belonged to her ex-husband. The cat eventually made it's way to my end of the street to look for food and a home. He made it to my house and now he's microchipped and mine. I was shocked, I thought another family who had moved were the ones who abandoned him.

I figured something like this would eventually come out into the open. She (ex-wife) could NEVER even begin to repay these Families for their grief and loss of property. Nor the Fire Fighters for putting their lives on the line (Yes, they do!) and the county for using the resources, needlessly. Well, you get my point!!!

Anyone know of a list of "immediate needs?" Sizes of clothing/shoes, so on and so forth?? I have toiletries I can gather up for the families. I'll be cross posting this. Please advise if you know of such list or postings.

I've got some toiletries and personal items. Some tooth paste, a few tooth brushes, deodorants, ponytail holders. shampoos for women and men, soaps, a few body washes, some school supplies. Also, some feminine items. I'll be taking them to Hiram tomorrow. This is sooo sad AND  SO SENSELESS!!!!
