Clark Funeral Home Posted January 3, 2018 Report Share Posted January 3, 2018 Ruth Olivia Hockenson, age 86, passed away on January 2, 2018. She was born on May 10, 1931, in Maywood, IL, to the late Edward Christopher and Olivia Boldt, and was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister, grandson, Jeremy Lindsey and son-in-law, Ronald Overcash. Mrs. Hockenson was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. Survivors include husband of 68 years, Hjalmer Ralph Hockenson of Dallas, GA; daughters, Linda Hockenson of Dallas, GA, Janet Ann Lindsey of Palm City, FL, Geraldine May & Elmont White of Dallas, GA, Karen Lynn Overcash of Marietta, GA; and Gale Jean & Bill Tippins of Marietta, GA; ten grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018, at 11 AM, from Clark Funeral Home with Reverend Don Rackley officiating. Interment will follow in Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 5, 2018, from 5 PM until 8 PM. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA, is in charge of arrangements.
