Grace B. Matthews, age 80, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2018. She was born on December 20, 1937, in Dallas, GA, to the late O.N. & Ethel Black, and was preceded in death by her brothers, Claude Black and William Black. Ms. Matthews worked as a clerk for the United States Postal Service for 27 years and was a member of Dallas First Baptist Church.

 

Survivors include sons, Ricky & Patty Matthews of Hiram, GA, and Mark & Michelle Matthews of Norman, IN; daughters, Linda Diebold of Overland Park, Kansas, and Karen & Robert Bacon of Jacksonville, FL; brothers, Neal & Louise Black of Dallas, GA, and David & Donniver Black of Dallas, GA; sisters, Ann & Johnny Matthews of Dallas, GA, and Margaret & Jimmy Camp of Blairsville, GA: sister-in-law, Francis Blake; grandchildren, Brett & Whitnei Matthews, Cassie Matthews, David Matthews, Kayla Christen, Elise Christen, Black Barber, Brian Barber, Tristan Hall and six additional grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

 

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at 4 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Jimmy Tibbitts officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 4, 2018, from 2 PM until 4 PM.

 

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Ms. Matthews.
