Dannie Palmer, age 67, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Wednesday, November 8, 2017. He was born on June 20, 1950, in Austell, GA, to the late K.W. & Dortha “Dot” Palmer, and was preceded in death by nephew, Barry Warren. Mr. Palmer was a member and Deacon of Concord Baptist Church and a loving family man. He loved to fish at Wilson Campground on Lake Wiess. Dannie worked at Atlanta Steel for over 29 years and a Paulding County DOT for 16 years.
Survivors include wife of 48 years, Kay Palmer of Dallas, GA; son, Jason Palmer of Dallas, GA; daughter, Jennifer & Daniel Black of Dallas, GA; sister, Darlene & Donnie Davis of Temple, GA; grandchild, Brayen Black of Dallas, GA; special aunt, Geneva Scoggins, nephews, Daniel Davis, Caleb Pressley, Andrew Pressley, Brad Warren and Joey Warren; nieces, Donna Massey and Lynn Nichelson; brother-in-law, Mike & Renee Pressley of White, GA, and Reverend C.T. & Deidre Warren of Dallas, GA.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at 2 PM, from Concord Baptist Church, with Pastor Joey Dedman, Reverend C.T. Warren, Reverend Don Rackley and Reverend Hoyt Lewis. Interment will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. Joey Warren, Brad Warren, Mike Pressley, Daniel Davis, Dennis Barber, and Roman Warren will serve as pallbearers. The Deacons of Concord Baptist Church, employees of Paulding County DOT, Doyle Blankinship and Jimmy Renfroe will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, November 11, 2017, from 4 PM until 8 PM.
