Max Wilson, age 80, of Douglasville, GA., passed away on Friday, October 13, 2017. He was born on January 6, 1937 to the late Wendell and Ozzie Wilson. Mr. Wilson worked as a carpenter for 50 years and was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Allene Wilson, his parents, 3 brothers, and a sister.

Survivors include his son, Ronald (Suzzette) Wilson of Douglasville, GA., his daughters; Robben (Greg) Broome of Douglasville, GA., Marie (Ray) Capes of Buchanan, GA., his brothers; James (Dottie) Wilson of Bremen, GA., Billy (Lily) Wilson of Douglasville, GA., his sisters; Edith Ivey of Dallas, GA., Juanita Smith of Dallas, GA., Judy Griffith of Dallas, GA., Elaine (James) Abercrombie of Douglasville, GA., his 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews are also survived by him.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at 3:00 PM from The Clark Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Larry Argo officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 3:00 PM. Interment will follow at Peaceful Meadows Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be; Danny Adair, Mike Brown, Larry Hicks, David Austin, Jody Miller, and Joseph Bone.
