Max Thomas, age 86, of Dallas GA., passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2017. He was born on September 4, 1931 in Atlanta, GA., to the late Charles and Jenny Thomas. Mr. Thomas served in the United States Air Force for 22 years as a Master Sergeant and a Air Force mechanic. He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Clara Riley, his 5 sisters, and 2 brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Remona B. Thomas of Dallas, GA., his son, Clayton (Jayne) Thomas of Temple, GA., his 3 daughters; Paula (Larry) Culver of Fulton, MS., T.J. Thomas of Baldwin, MS., Janelle (Larry) Mashburn of Pinehurst GA., his 2 brothers; Blake (Wanda) Thomas of Smyrna, GA., Frank Thomas of Atlanta, GA., his 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews are also survived by him.

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Clark Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Jason Morgan officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, October 2, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Surviving as pallbearers will be; Grady Hayes, Gary Hicks, Frank Swaills, John Black, Frank Black, Clinton Yarbrough, and Don Goodell.
