Harold Dean Reece January 8, 1938 - September 30, 2017

H. Dean Reece of Hiram and Ellijay, age 79, passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 30, 2017 in his Ellijay home. He was born on January 8, 1938 in Dawsonville, GA., to his late parents, Boyd and Mae Reece. Harold was the owner of Sweetwater Cemetery in Paulding County and enjoyed traveling to his getaway cabin in Ellijay. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Anne W. Reece, his brothers; Wayne Reece, Leslie Reece, J.M. Reece and Leon Reece.



Survivors include his son, Jody Reece of Hiram, GA., his daughter, Deana (Mike) Garner of Hiram, GA., brother, B.R. (Mildred) Reece of Piedmont, AL., his sister, Betty (Marvin) White of Rome, GA., his 3 sister – in –laws ; Shirley Reece, of Powder Springs, GA., Vera Reece of N.C., Mary Ann Reece of S.C., his 6 grandchildren; Lauren Reece, Shelly Reece, Molly Reece, Miles Reece, Chase (Kelly) Worsham, Jaden (Brooke) Worsham, and his great grandchild, Ella Worsham. Several nieces and nephews are also survived by him.



Memorial services for Mr. Reece will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Clark Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM.



In lieu of flowers the family respectfully request donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
