Kenny Forsyth, age 60, of Rockmart, GA, passed away on Monday, July 3, 2017. He was born on February 28, 1957, in Dallas, GA, to the late Marshall Harold and Clarice Fennell Forsyth, and was preceded in death by his father-in-law, J.B. Maxwell. Mr. Forsyth retired from Emery Air Freight, worked for Sanitech Environmental Services and Waste Industries. He was a member of Pumkinvine Baptist Church, played for Atlanta Braves Minor League System, was an avid Georgia Tech Fan and adored his grandchildren and loved watching them play sports.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Kathy Forsyth; son, Blake Forsyth of Rockmart, GA; daughter, Brooke & Allen Rakestraw of Dallas, GA; sisters, Kathy & Danny Harris of Hiram, GA, Melanie & Barry Benson of Dallas, GA, and Cindy Forsyth of Alpharetta, GA; sisters-in-law, Peggy Childers of Dallas, GA, Karen & Mark Tinney of Piedmont, AL; brother-in-law, Tommy & Nancy Maxwell of Dallas, GA; mother-in-law, Evelyn Maxwell of Dallas, GA; grandchildren, Wade Rakestraw, Warner Rakestraw, and Kensley Rakestraw; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at 11 AM, at Peaceful Meadows Memorial Cemetery, with Pastor Joey Meeks and Pastor Richard Peal officiating. Danny Harris, Barry Benson, Tim Wilson, Kade Wilson, Reid Wilson and Dennis Fields will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends following the service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 2562 Villa Rica Hwy, Dallas, GA 30132
