James Royce Smith, age 81 of Dallas, GA passed away at his residence on January 21, 2017. He was employed as a Master Carpenter with JLJ Construction for approximately 20 years, who loved fishing and his family. Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his parents Lee Roy and Minnie L. Smith; son, Paul Poss; sister, Betty Jo Kilgo and brother Billy Guy Smith.

Survivors include his wife Janet Smith of Dallas, GA; son Lee (Lynn) Poss; daughter Julie R. (Carrie) Hull of Dallas, GA; daughter-in-law, Mary Poss of Hiram GA; brothers, Alfred Smith of Griffin, GA, Donald Smith of Zebulon, GA, David (Carol) Smith of Douglasville, GA and Ronnie (Betty Jo) Smith of Smyrna, GA, multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Clark Funeral Home with Rev. Keith Cox officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on the day of service.
