Accident at PCHS slowing traffic on 61- AVOID

Just got a call from my wife saying she has been stuck in traffic coming south from Dallas from an apparent accident at PCHS. She observed a couple of ambulances going to the scene and traffic is blocked to one lane with officers directing traffic to let both north and south bound lanes alternate. It is not certain that there were injuries.

 

Traffic is backed up into Dallas over the railroad bridge, she said.

 

The accident was not at the intersection at the high school but at the south-side of the property in the dip at the bottom of the hill.

 

There is glass over the road, one car may be in the ditch ... and as many as four more cars were involved. Apparently the cars were all north bound and someone stopped and others didn't.

 

Traffic is backed up to the dollar store for north bound.

Sure does seem there's an awful lot of accidents, some fatal, in that area.
