KITCHENS

Joseph Lee Kitchens, age 85 of Brooksville, FL, passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2016. He was born on May 26, 1931, in Gadsden, AL, to the late Henry Ernest & Willie Mae Kitchens, and was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth Amanda Kitchens. Mr. Kitchens retired as a Master SGT from the United States Army serving 26 years receiving a Bronze Star, and also retired from Lockheed as a Security Guard with 12 years of service. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #182 in Dallas, YAARAB Provost Guards in Atlanta GA, VFW, DAV, and 1st Baptist Church in Brooksville, FL.

Survivors include his wife , Delma France Kitchens of Brooksville, FL; son, Ed & Tonya Stephenson of Nokomis, FL; daughters, Mary & Jerry Cornell of Maui, Hawaii, and Laura & Jim Boggs of Dallas, GA; eleven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2016, at 11 AM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Don Voyles officiating. Interment will follow in Dallas Memory Gardens. Tim Fecht, Joseph Boggs, James Boggs, Jordan Boggs, Matt Stephenson, and Ed Stephenson III will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 2, 2016, from 4 PM until 8 PM.
