Attached File  Capture.JPG   56.9KB   0 downloadsThe question is where do you think this is the kind of grotesque imagery would appear?

If you guessed the Washington Post, you'd be right.  (at least taht is where I saw it.)

I did a little research. The outfit involved is a west coast artist compound with the apt name "Indecline" according to LA Week.  The artist, a guy named Joshua Monroe who said he was a Trump supporter.  That said, he said he is no fan of Hillary but, as noted by many of those commenting on the Trump statue, the one thing they were thankful for was that it wasn't Hillary.

Me too.

I doubt the media would become unglued. I think TP noted recently in posts that Georgia and something 43 other states have removed laws that make it illegal for a woman to be topless.

I personally think that the level of slime is so deep in this election that a nude statue of  either one or both together or apart would be among the milder and more amusing excesses.

I have never liked these types of things. I dislike them even more during this election.

We ended up with Trump because he basically followed a script written by Fox news supposed experts and right wing pundits.

They can't call him out on his BS because he got it from him and of course his outrageousness is now news.

Twenty years ago he would have been branded as a nut,, just like Bernie was labeled as too far out there to ever get traction in a primary. Hillary is going to become the first female president by design and default, think that one over.

Our elections are more like made for tv dramas. Real journalism is dead.

We are on a dangerous path of total segregation by party, color, and culture.

For 8 years the pundits and experts have told us of the horrible consequences of Obama's leadership, none of which has come to pass. You have people still waiting for it because of their faith in the right wing P and E's.

As the strongest nation in the world we face dangerous consequences when we elect bad leadership.

So much of the world is dependent on us to be balanced and fair when it comes to our arsenal and our markets.

The junior high mindset is so inappropriate for the most powerful nation in the world.

We are becoming unworthy of the responsibility as a people when we don't condemn lies and those things that go against our values, and integrity.

I don't agree with the garbage that this statue represents. I don't agree with the ridiculous memes that are shared non-stop on social media.

It really is not all right for the most powerful country in the world to embrace petty politics. We are tuning in, we are choosing to embrace it, and leaders all over the world are watching and asking each other what they are going to do about America. Let that sink in. We have 2 candidates that are petty liars.

Is everything that's wrong with the world the fault of Fox News? You're kind of a "broken record" there, if you recall an old phrase.

Trump's strategy had nothing to do with Fox News. He capitalized on the fears and frustrations that a majority of Americans have. Being sick of political correctness, frustration over the immigration issue, government corruption, lack of action on the terror problem, etc.

Now...I don't think he's the best person to deal with these things and I don't support him. But I do understand why his message appealed to people.

We are on a dangerous path of total segregation by party, color, and culture.

Agreed. And President Obama is to blame for much of it. He's the most racist president since LBJ. The Democrat's constant use of the race card and their hijacking of social issues have also made these things worse. They use race, class, sexuality, and abooortion like Hitler used the Jews.

For 8 years the pundits and experts have told us of the horrible consequences of Obama's leadership, none of which has come to pass. You have people still waiting for it because of their faith in the right wing P and E's.

Most of it has come to pass.

The national debt will more than doubled (revised figures) by the time he leaves off, and only an embarrassing slow "recovery" to show for it.

Obamacare is in full scale collapse as we speak. Even the Democrats know it, which is why they are making so many excuses for it. Insurance rates have skyrocketed and I'm hearing that next year's rate increases will be the worst yet.

Workforce participation is at it's lowest since the 60's.

The percentage of American people on financial assistance is at the highest in several decades.

Median incomes are lower than when Obama took office

The middle class has shrunk under Obama

I could go on, but you've clearly already blinded yourself to the real facts, so what's the point.

And so we are to accept your judgment because the last time  you supported the Republican ... and what did have to show for doubling the national debt besides 4000 dead GI's and a failed war in Iraq and Afghanistan? ... Yep,  GWB literally doubled the national debt and had a really embarrassingly steep decline in the economy - losing 750,000 jobs a month and a market crash - to show for it.

Now let's tell the rest of the story.

The added debt under Bush as roughly one forth what Obama has added.

The fact that we had the worst terror attack in US history that took out the financial center of our economy had a little something to do with it. An attack who's planning started under Clinton. Clinton, by his own admission,  passed on two opportunities to get bin Laden.

We should also mention that the housing crash and resulting bank crises came from bad legislation that began in the Carter administration and was brought back to life under Clinton (CRA). Not to mention Democratic legislation Dodd-Frank which put almost all the small banks out of business.

And then there was hurricane Katrina that caused gas prices to sore to over $4 a gallon, which was the real catalyst that threw us into recession.

And let's stop lying about unemployment. If you use the same system now to figure unemployment as we did before Obama; real unemployment is 15-20%. All the other factors such as workforce participation and entitlement figures prove it. The numbers don't come close to adding up. More jobs were lost after Obama came in than under bush, and real unemployment is still much higher than when Bush left office.

And pubby...to blame a war entirely on Bush when the Democrats supported it, and were even clamoring for it, is hypocritical and disingenuous.

Yes, I voted for Bush and would again in the same match-ups. But I am well away that he made some mistakes and have called him on it.

So as usual, pubby, you the story you tell is only partial fact mixed in with a buttload of propaganda and mistruth. It's no wonder you have such little credibility in the county.

Technically, only congress can spend. But what really matters is the mix of congress and the president. In his first two years, the Democrats controlled all three houses, so they had near total control. And that's when the majority of the spending programs were put into place.

Obama and his Democratic congress is the clear winner of runaway spending. And we have very little to show for it except even richer rich and a low and middle class whom are worse off. Check the figures.
