William Thomas (Bill) Jones of Cartersville, GA., age 87, passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016. He was born February 24, 1929 to the late Thomas Alvin and Ida Bella Follett Jones and was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Louise Moody Jones, and sister & brother-in-law, Ruth and Hollis Howard.

 

Mr. Jones served in the Air Force during the WWII, Korean, and Vietnam wars. He was also one of first recipients of the GED program.

 

Survivors include his son & daughter-in-law, Tommy& Penny Jones of Dallas, GA; daughters & son-in-laws, Mary Elizabeth & Steve McVaigh of Cartersville, GA; Tina Marie & Jimmy Bosch of Powder Springs, GA; eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 2 PM from Clark Funeral Chapel, with Brother Phillip Howard officiating. Interment will follow in Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta, GA.

 

Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 from 4PM until 8PM.

 

Flowers will be graciously accepted or donations can be made to the Disabled Veterans.
