George Leroy Johnson, age 82, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016. He was born on June 27, 1933, in LaFayette, GA, to the late Roy & Eva Johnson, and was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Jean Johnson, and second wife, Pat Johnson. Mr. Johnson was an insurance salesman for United Insurance for 25 years, and was a member of Hiram Church of Christ.

 

Survivors include sons, Eric & Lexann Johnson of Marietta, GA, and Stanley Johnson of Pensacola, FL; brother, Marshall Johnson of LaFayette, GA; sister, Betty Southerland of Rome, GA; grandchildren, Robbie Johnson, Xander Johnson, Tyler Johnson, and Haleigh Johnson; great-grandchild, Levi Johnson; and several nephews.

 

Graveside services will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016, at 1 PM, from LaFayette Memory Gardens, with Tommy Tidwell officiating. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 6, 2016 at 6 PM, from Hiram Church of Christ with Matthew Johnson officiating.
