Virginia Adcock Whitley, age 74, of Dallas, GA, passed away on Sunday, April 24, 2016. She was born on August 18, 1941, in Cartersville, GA, to the late Willie Edmond & Ursla Viola Adcock and was preceded in death by her grandson, Jordy Whitley, and sons-in-law, William Sinard and Russell Prator.

 

Survivors include children, Janice & Randy Johnston of Dallas, GA, Shelia Sinard of Dallas, GA, Sherry & Vick Duncan of Athens, TN, Vickie & Hal Race of Hiram, GA, Patricia Prator of Hiram, GA, Jeffery Bill Whitley and Fiancé Sandra Starkie of Dallas, GA; brothers, Roy & Ann Adcock of Cartersville, GA, and Raymond Adcock of Rome, GA; sister, Lillie (Sis) Thacker of Rome, GA; grandchildren she raised, Felicia Poss and Amanda Scott, and ten other grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at 2 PM, from Clark Funeral Home, with Reverend Jimmy Tibbitts officiating. Interment will follow in Paulding Memorial Gardens. Michael Poss, Christian Betts, Allan Johnston, Nathan Bennett, Brian Sinard, and Jason Scott will serve as pallbearers. Jeffery Whitley will serve as honorary pallbearer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 26, 2016, from 4 PM until 8 PM
