TEMPLE, Ga. —

Deputies are searching for a man who allegedly attacked a deputy with a fire extinguisher during a confrontation at a home near the Carroll-Paulding County line.

The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office tells Channel 2 Action News deputies were called to a home on Old Draketown Trail in Temple to help retrieve belongings for a woman in a temporary protective order case. The homeowner confronted the deputies and struck one of them with a fire extinguisher.

Deputies say the home was then set on fire.
