did they take out the guard post at EPHS?

They did because the DOT required that the road leading out of the school be widened for traffic purposes.  The school was causing a horrible backup on East Paulding and it was spilling over to 92.  To be honest it didn't really help much.

They took it out over the summer. They also widened the road leading out of the school.

There is now a right turn lane, a left turn lane and a straight through lane at the light to exit the school.

 

Don't know if that really helped or not. I try not to be near any of the schools around the heavy traffic times.

 

I did notice that they still had officers directing traffic after the football games, but then there are a lot more vehicles on school property to clear out after a football game :crazy:
