Something is going on over at PC.

People who used to talk - both praising and condemning - won't say anything.

Teachers were so excited when Mr. Wilcox came over from Herschel, people who had wanted him for years, now won't say anything.

I know this will be attacjed as rumors - but, seriously, what gives?

I'm a big fan of "no news is good news." It used to be something new and negative every other week.

No school is perfect, not where I am or any other. If you have a problem with the school, either work to make it better or continue to be part of the problem.

From what I understand - he's doing exactly what he needs to be doing.  And, those that are there for the kids are doing what they need to be doing.  I think we aren't hearing anything because there isn't anything to be heard.  They are doing their job of educating their students and getting them on in life.

You know some of these principals are damn if they do and damn if they don't.  If they try to do a good job

some folks don't like it, then if they don't people are upset.  School employees and going to be like police

if things don't change, they are not going to work in this profession.

I've heard, from very reliable sources, that Mr. Wilcox is doing an amazing job. I'm curious, do you have a child who attends PCHS? If so, why wouldn't you be "in the know?" Just like Greatma said, some of these administrators are damned if they do, and damned if they dont. Maybe if you would get down in the trenches, you would know what's going on. Just a thought. :)

Killing you isn't it....... Everything is fine in our little world there.

As of today, one out of five PCHS teachers are confirmed as leaving, resigning, retiring, transferring this year.

Sounds like everything is fine in your little world.

Actually it is. My son is doing well, and at this point succeeding. I hope your child is as well. If not then maybe you need to get on that. You know emails phone calls, attend parent teacher conferences etc. Do you need the BOE phone number? They have people there that can help you too.

Edited to add: Out of the 7 teachers (I did not include any co teachers in this count) only 1 has left, 2 were rumored to be leaving, neither are leaving. So I will relie on the teachers themselves, and not the rumor mill.

BTW have you taken the parent/community survey? Have you called or spoken with any of the BOE members? NO? Well then I suppose your statement just like the OP is invalid.

I think that Craig Wilcox is the best leader that this school or any other could ask for. He wants you as teachers to do what you are paid to do BUT he also wants the parents to do their jobs. Get involved, ask the teachers what does my child need to do to be better, what can I do to assure that it happens. Let's work together to turn out a class that will make us proud for years to come. This being said, I had 4 daughters go there under Don Rausher , Dave Whitfield and Susan Browning. Craig was an assistant principal at that time.

20% turnover is the average at any school each year. Some more. Some less. It is the average.

Coach Wilcox ( as I know him)  is a good person, and will work with anyone who takes the time to talk to him.  most schools at the end of the year  have teachers, coaches, princpcals that are moved around.

Wasn't there a post a couple of years back about rats jumping from a sinking ship? So maybe those.that didn't jump the first time should have?
