Geneva Evelyn Shipp Eberhart, age 92, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2016. She was born on May 16, 1923, in Hiram, GA to the late Glenn Homer & Effie Shipp, and was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Marion Eberhart after 60 years of marriage; great-grandchildren, Tyler Glass and Mason Glass; sisters, Laurene Hitchcock & Rose Roberts; and brothers, Gene Shipp & Reverend Sam Shipp. Mrs. Eberhart retired in 1982 after 32 years of service as a supervisor from the State of Georgia Department of Labor and Department of Corrections, was a member of Flint Hill Methodist Church and later a member of Cochran Ridge Baptist Church.

Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Steven & Donna Eberhart of Hiram, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Lynn E. & Bob Allen-Flood of Powder Springs, GA; brother, J.R. Shipp of Mableton, GA; sisters, Margie Ricks of Duluth, GA, and Brenda Shipp of Gulf Port, MS; grandchildren, Michelle& Brent Fowler, Jodi & Wesley Postell, Jeremy Glenn Allen and Jenna Lynn Allen; great-grandchildren, Slayton Glass, Macey & Cody Woods, Bailey Postell and Jay Postell; great-grandchildren, Lilli Fowler and Tyler Cook Glass; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 29, 2016, at 11 AM, from Flint Hill United Methodist Church, with Pastor Teddy Harris and Steven Eberhart officiating. Interment will follow in Flint Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. Wendall Eberhart, Jeremy Allen, Slayton Glass, Bailey Postell, Jay Postell and Jenna Lynn Allen will serve as pallbearers. Billie Eberhart, Meg E. Hunt Williams and Lance Hitchcock will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, January 28, 2016, from 5 PM until 7 PM.
