Mr. Marlin Hasty Caldwell, age 89, of Rome passed away at his residence on Tuesday, July 21, 2015.

 

Marlin was born on November 23, 1925 in Atlanta, GA, the son of the late Mr. Ector Maze Caldwell and Mrs. Emma Ruth Caldwell. Marlin was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and retired from Lockheed Martin where he worked as a plane mechanic. A Christian, Marlin was of the Baptist faith.

 

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife Mrs. Mildred Virginia Caldwell and one daughter, Mrs. Lucille Hall.

 

Marlin is survived by his daughter, Laura (Junior) Freeman of Rockmart; 2 sons, Eddy (Susan) Caldwell of Canton and Jesse Caldwell; 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends also survive.

 

The funeral service for Marlin Hasty Caldwell will be held on Friday, July 24, 2015 at 11 AM in the Chapel of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home with Pastor Doug Ledford and Brother Harley Freeman officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park Cemetery.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, July 23, 2015 from 3-9 PM. In lieu of flowers they are requesting that donations be made to the Faith Missionary Baptist Church building fund.
