Mr. Gaines Hudson Warren, age 80, of Villa Rica, GA, passed away on June 23, 2015, at his residence.

 

Hudson was born in Dallas, GA, on December 1, 1934, the son of the late Mr. Benjamin Blease Warren and Mrs. Mariella Hudson Warren. He had been a resident of Paulding County for the greater part of his life and was a member of the Heritage Baptist Church in Douglasville, GA. Hudson was employed at Lockheed for over 40 years, retiring in 1993. He enjoyed gardening, camping, boating, traveling and woodworking. Hudson was a diehard Georgia Tech Football Fan. For a number of years he was a member of the Board of Directors with the First National Bank of Paulding County. In addition to his parents Hudson was preceded in death by his beloved Boston Terrier, Penny.

 

Hudson is survived by his wife of over 59 years, Anne Dailey Warren, whom he married on April 7, 1956; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Lonny Dantzler of Panama City, FL; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Patsy Warren of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren, Wendy Warren, Lorenzo Dantzler, Warren Dantzler and Dailey Dantzler; one sister and brother-in-law, Sally and Kenneth Guyton of Douglasville; a sister-in-law, Olivia and her husband, Gene Weingarten of Birmingham, AL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and other friends and relatives.

 

Funeral services for Mr. Gaines Hudson Warren will be held on Friday, June 26, 2015, at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Jeff Eberhart Home with Rev. Gene Fields and Dr. Gil Watson officiating. Interment will follow at the Dallas City Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home on Friday morning by 10:30 a.m. and include Lorenzo Dantzler., Warren Dantzler, Chase Carscallen, Robert Hudson, Anthony Thomas and Richard Self.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 25, 2015, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM.

 

The staff of Jeff Eberhart Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Gaines Hudson Warren.
