Mr. James Michael Rogers, affectionately known to his family and friends as “Mike”, age 57 of Dallas, passed away on June 2, 2015 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital.

 

Mike was born on May 5, 1958 in Dallas, GA, to loving parents, Mrs. Sondra Mooneyham Southern and the late Mr. James Harold Rogers. Mike was a painter for many years and enjoyed working on electronics. A Christian, Mike was a member of the Second Baptist Church of Dallas.

 

He is preceded in death by his father, Mr. James Harold Rogers.

 

Mike is survived by his son, Mr. Courtney (Janet) Rogers of Dallas; 2 grandchildren, Haley Rogers and Austin Rogers both of Dallas; Mother, Sondra Southern of Dallas; 2 sisters, Sherre Aviles of Dallas and Lisa Parker of Cleveland, TN. Several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends also survive.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, June 5, 2015 from 4-9 PM. There are no other services planned at this time.
